Who we are Susan was born in Elon, NC. She grew up and lived there until heading to college. Susan was very involved in her church as well as performing flute around Alamance County and the East Coast with a flute Choir, Flutes Festivo. She attended UNCG for a degree in Music Education, concentration in Flute. She graduated with honors in May 2006 and was given many performing opportunities throughout her 4 years. She is currently in her third year as the Director of Bands at South Asheboro Middle School in Asheboro NC. Kenny was born in Tampa, Florida and moved to Durham at the end of elementary school. Kenny was very active in the Jazz programs at his middle, high school,and college as well as playing with a band at church. He attended UNCG for a degree in Music Education, concentration in Trumpet. Kenny graduated in May of 2008. While at UNCG, he had the opportunity to perform with the Jazz Ensemble at the Lincoln Center in NY. Kenny just accepted a position as the Director of Bands at Southwest Guilford High School in High Point, NC. We met while we both in college through out friends Ashley and Beth. We ate out for dinner at Arbys with some friends and the rest was history:-) We currently reside in Asheboro, NC with our dog Dani! Thank you so much for sharing in this special time with us!
